Earlier this year, I wrote this comprehensive post on how I used Havenly interior design services to redesign my girls’ bedroom and our living room. This is an updated Havenly review, where I share how I redid three other rooms using the service (and the same designer!) all for a really affordable price. I’m super happy with the results and wanted to share for others who are still curious about Havenly.
How I Used Havenly
I always book my Havenly packages using my coupon code here for $50 off my design package. This time around I even did the “Add additional room for only $119” (instead of $159) since I knew I wanted to do multiple rooms at a time. I paid roughly $318 for three rooms. This makes this such an affordable interior design option. That’s probably the same cost of a single hour of an in-person designer.
I booked my favorite designer, Sofia Sesma. She knows my style now and is super thoughtful about her design choices. For example, she really pays close attention to furniture sizes to make sure everything fits perfectly, with enough room to walk around, etc. It’s not enough for her that a piece looks good, it has to truly be practical for the space, and I really appreciate that. She’s also really communicative and receptive to feedback. Lastly, she makes the whole process fun! It’s like working with a close friend.
Kid’s Bedroom 1
I wanted to redo my eldest daughter’s bedroom since we wanted to give my middle daughter her own room. We also wanted to be able to use the eldest’s room as a guest room if we needed to.

Super happy with how the room turned out. It’s minimal, neutral, but still a little playful with some of the shapes.
Kid’s Bedroom 2
For my middle daughter’s bedroom, we had a tight space to work with, but Sofia did an amazing job finding a configuration that worked. This included using a corner bed to maximize the space.

Kid’s Bedroom 3
My son was transitioning out of his crib into a big boy bed, so it was a good time to do a whole redesign. I was really pushing for neutrals again just because I love how that look turned out in our living room, but I’m so glad Sofia talked me out of that. We ended up going with some blue and green accents and I’m so happy with how everything turned out.

Havenly Tips: How to make the most of your experience
Find a designer that really understands your style. If you have your first meeting and are unhappy, you should let Havenly know and they should be able to fix this for you.
Take your time filling out your project profile. Before you even start your project, take your time filling out the questionnaire at the beginning. Link to any Pinterest boards you might have or upload inspiration pictures you really like. A good Havenly designer will be able to quickly pick up on what your style is.
Don’t feel like you need to purchase everything at once. The great thing about Havenly, or any other good online interior design service, is that you can get a feel for what is possible with your space through your designs and then you can make plans for the things you want to eventually purchase at a later point once your budget allows. These projects I’ve shown in this post were started in the summer but I’m only writing this review now in the winter because I bought things for the rooms over time, taking advantage of various Havenly sales when possible.
Conclusion
If you’re still on the fence about whether you think Havenly is worth it, I recommend just trying it out with a single room first. Use this coupon code for $50 off and the package should be less than $100. In my opinion, it’s a small price to pay to nail down a design and seeing what your space could look like compared to going out and buying furniture only to be unhappy with the end result later. Once you’ve tried it out, would love to hear in the comments what you thought of the service! I know there are varying opinions out there on online interior decorating services, so I’m curious if my experience has been an anomaly!
